Job summary

CBRE Government & Defense Services is hiring a Control Technician to install, repair, and maintain building automation systems in hospital facilities and adjacent buildings. You will work with controllers, sensors, actuators, and networks, reading codes and calibrating devices to optimize performance.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience, with CCST level 1 certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years' experience as a control technician in a commercial or institutional setting.
• CCST level 1 certification (or able to obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain DDC systems per engineering specs.
• Perform routine inspections to identify issues before they become problems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in DDC systems (valves, actuators, sensors).
• Collaborate with team to resolve complex issues.
• Test and calibrate DDC devices for accurate performance.
• Adjust controls to optimize processes and efficiency.
• Maintain records of installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Create troubleshooting documentation and system configurations.
• Provide technical support to team members.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance.
