Job summary

Control Concepts Ohio is seeking a BAS Checkout Technician to troubleshoot automation control systems for commercial HVAC, air distribution, valves, and related equipment. You will perform start-up, sequence checks, and coordinate with the project team to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate preferred), HVAC/electrical knowledge, and familiarity with Tridium Niagara. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio) is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical Associates preferred.
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• HVAC control concepts knowledge/experience is a plus.
• Experience with HVAC equipment, electrical and controls installation.
• Computer networking knowledge and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

The BAS Controls Checkout Technician is responsible for troubleshooting automation control systems related to air distribution equipment, air handlers, valves, variable speed equipment, exhaust systems, lighting, chill water, and boiler systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for start-up and troubleshooting automation control systems for commercial HVAC, air distribution equipment, air handlers, valves, variable speed equipment, exhaust systems, lighting, chill water, and boiler systems.
• Many projects include replacement, renovation, or retrofit of building HVAC systems.
• This position requires passion and dedication to providing the customer with innovative and superior building automation systems and outstanding customer service.
• Willing to learn the Reliable Controls Product line
• Willing to adopt Reliable Product Installation Methods
• Experience in Tridium Niagara
• Understand HVAC and Electrical systems
• Maintain communication with the PM and team members
• Material Management/Chain of Custody
• Point to Point check-out, including end device set-up on boxes and fan coils
• Controller hardware setup, wired correctly, addressed correctly
• Cradle Point Set-up
• Checkout of terminal units, fan coils, and complete sheets
• Sequence checks on boxes and fan coils
• Basic troubleshooting of terminal units and fan coils
• Maintain checkout books, checkout sheets, and redline submittals
• Checkout AHU
• Understand Company Core Values
