Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a caregiver to join the Main Campus facilities team. You will help maintain Building Automation Systems, respond to alarms, monitor environmental controls, and support operations to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for patients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma and BAS/HVAC exposure with strong customer service skills. The position involves local travel in Northeast Ohio and a work schedule of days Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• One year of exposure and understanding of HVAC or building automation systems (BAS).
• Strong customer service background.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, analyzing and/or maintaining Building Automation Systems, remote connections and system malfunctions.
• Respond to alarms and alerts.
• Ensure safe and effective operations and working environments.
• Monitor critical temperature and humidity devices, such as meters and gauges.
• Assist with inspecting and calibrating devices.
• Assist other caregivers with inventory.
• Record data for sensor and control devices related to digital and pneumatic systems.
• Work at other Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.

A caregiver in this position works days Monday - Friday from 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. with the ability to travel locally in Northeast Ohio as needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• One year of exposure and demonstrated understanding of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) or building automation systems (BAS).
• Strong customer service background.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

• Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders.
• Requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery.
• Typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs.
• Requires color-coded signage and systems.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $17.25

Maximum hourly: $26.31
