Job Description: Summary Harris is seeking an experienced BA System Specialist III to help deliver reliable, high-performing building automation systems. You will combine hands-on testing, controls troubleshooting, graphics development, documentation, and technical guidance to help project teams complete quality installations and improve system performance for customers.

Role Overview

Perform sequence testing, point-to-point verification, system adjustments, and operational checks for building automation projects. Create and update system graphics, drawings, and dashboards that help customers and project teams understand controlled building systems. Troubleshoot HVAC controls, repair or replace control components, and modify programming to support proper system operation. Share your technical knowledge by guiding team members, improving work practices, and supporting safe, high-quality project completion.

What You’ll Do

You will spend your day turning plans, sequences, and field conditions into building automation systems that operate as intended. You will inspect installations, test sensors and control components, diagnose system issues, and make the adjustments or programming changes needed to improve performance. You will also build clear system graphics, maintain accurate project documentation, and communicate technical findings with customers and project partners. As an experienced specialist, you will help others solve problems, use tools effectively, and complete work safely and efficiently. Review project plans, specifications, designs, and sequences of operation to understand scope and requirements. Set up and use testing equipment to verify wiring, sensors, components, assemblies, and system functionality. Develop building system graphics, maps, drawings, sketches, and dashboard images using CAD and visualization tools. Document work performed, materials, deficiencies, punch-list items, training records, and closeout information. Partner with customers and project teams to explain system issues, confirm repairs, and recommend improvements.

Why This Role Matters

Your testing and verification help ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements. Your troubleshooting and programming expertise help resolve complex issues and improve system reliability for customers. Your graphics and documentation make building controls easier to understand, operate, maintain, and support. Your technical guidance helps strengthen team capability and supports consistent, high-quality project delivery.
