Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Ability to install, troubleshoot, and service building automation systems.
2. Installations will include work with line voltage wiring, low voltage wiring, unitary HVAC controllers, actuators, relays, sensors, and end devices.
3. Responsible for programming of unitary controllers, area controllers, and web-based applications.
4. Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of systems.
5. Ability to understand and interpret sequence of operation for basic HVAC systems (CAV, VAV, Multi-zone, etc).
6. Be punctual in reporting to all assigned shifts and work sites.
7. Must possess good communication skills and ability to keep the customer informed of work provided and any outstanding issues.
8. Be positive and professional when interacting with clients to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
9. Responsible for making recommendations to customers for upgrades, repairs, and system improvements.
10. Ability to train end-users on the operation of BAS.
11. Ability to work an on-call rotation schedule.
12. Timely submission of daily paperwork and service reports.
13. Interact with IT professionals regarding web deployment. Knowledge of user interfaces, data servers, IP networking devices, protocols, routers, switches, and hubs.
14. Other duties related to the commissioning and servicing of building controls systems.
