Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced BAS / Controls Project Manager to lead Building Automation and DDC projects from planning through commissioning and closeout in Columbia, SC. This role emphasizes delivering on time and within budget while maintaining strong communication with clients and teams.

You will coordinate technicians, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors, monitor schedules and costs, review submittals and sequences, and ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing BAS, HVAC controls, or DDC systems projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC controls systems, automation networks, and DDC applications.
• Experience with Niagara, Siemens, JCI, Honeywell, or Schneider Electric platforms.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, control drawings, and sequences of operation.

• Coordinate technicians, programmers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, job costs, materials, and change orders.

• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and performance expectations.

BAS / Controls Project Manager

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced and motivated BAS / Controls Project Manager to lead Building Automation and DDC controls projects from initial planning through commissioning and final closeout. This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong communication with clients, field teams, and vendors.
Columbia, South Carolina
$100k - $125k annually

Key Responsibilities

• Manage BAS/DDC controls projects from kickoff through completion
• Coordinate technicians, programmers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, job costs, materials, and change orders
• Oversee submittals, control sequences, installation planning, startup, commissioning, and project closeout
• Maintain clear communication with customers, project stakeholders, and field personnel
• Support problem-solving efforts to keep projects moving efficiently and successfully
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and performance expectations
