Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Building Automation Project Manager to lead data center and controls projects from planning through turnover. You will coordinate subcontractors, engineering teams, and construction personnel across Dallas Fort Worth or Lubbock, TX, with heavy travel expected.

The ideal candidate has about 5 years of PM experience in BAS/BMS or systems integration, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and client expectations on complex projects.

Qualifications

• About 5 years of relevant project management experience.
• Background in building automation, building controls, BAS, BMS, or systems integration.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing projects in construction environments.
• Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and client expectations.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage building automation and controls projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, engineering teams, and construction personnel.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, scope, and overall performance.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Monitor installation progress and resolve project challenges.
• Coordinate with electrical and other construction trades to keep projects on schedule.
• Support testing, commissioning, and final project turnover.
• Maintain project documentation, forecasts, progress reports, and schedules.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure quality standards are met.

I am partnering with a well established, employee owned engineering and systems integration company that is looking to add a Building Automation Project Manager to its team.

This is an opportunity for a project management professional with experience in building automation, controls, or systems integration who enjoys overseeing complex projects, coordinating subcontractors, and driving successful project delivery.

Location: Dallas Fort Worth, TX or Lubbock, TX

Travel: Approximately 80% to 100%

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage building automation and controls projects from planning through completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, engineering teams, and construction personnel
