Job summary

Schneider Electric in Dallas seeks an Application Engineer specializing in Building Automation to program, commission, troubleshoot, and support DDC building automation systems using Niagara, EcoStruxure Building Operation, Siemens, or Johnson Controls.

You will work with a project team to configure and customize controls, create software and front‑end graphics, conduct system diagnostics, and provide technical support to customers and end users.

Qualifications

• Proficient in programming and configuring building automation systems to meet project specs.
• Experience delivering high‑quality software per standards, budgets and schedules.
• Strong communication skills with customers, contractors, engineers, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Program, startup, troubleshoot, and commission DDC building automation systems.
• Configure, program, and customize control systems for project needs.
• Create software programs and front‑end graphics for controls.
• Commission projects and ensure proper handover.
• Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure complete system functionality.
• Perform system diagnostics and recommend performance improvements.
• Coordinate customer training and prepare closed‑out documents.
• Provide technical support and direction to end‑users and staff.
