Job summary

Schneider Electric in Dallas seeks an Application Engineer specializing in Building Automation to program, commission, troubleshoot, and support DDC building automation systems using Niagara, EcoStruxure Building Operation, Siemens, or Johnson Controls.

You will work with a project team to configure and customize controls, create software and front‑end graphics, conduct system diagnostics, and provide technical support to customers and end users.

  • Perform system diagnostics and recommend performance improvements.
  • Coordinate customer training and prepare closed‑out documents.
  • Provide technical support and direction to end‑users and staff.

Overview

Schneider Electric is searching for an Application Engineer specializing in Building Automation to work within the Digital Buildings organization in Dallas. The role will involve programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting DDC building automation systems, with a focus on building automation system programming using Tridium Niagara, Ecostruxure, Siemens, or Johnson Controls.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team responsible for programming, start‑up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of DDC building automation systems.
  • Configure, program, and customize control systems to meet project‑specific needs.
  • Create software programs and front‑end graphics.
  • Commission projects.
  • Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure complete system functionality.
  • Perform system diagnostics and recommend enhancements to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate customer training and prepare closed‑out documents.
  • Provide technical support and direction to end‑users and employees when applicable.
Qualifications
  • Expertise in Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building Operation System, Siemens Building automation system, or Johnson Controls systems.
  • Experience providing high‑quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers, and team members.
Reporting

The employee reports to a Project Manager and works under the daily supervision of an Engineering or Software Manager.
