Job summary

Sbf-Search,-LLC is seeking a Building Automation Design Engineer in Maryland to design complete BAS solutions and lead project coordination. You will develop mechanical and electrical layouts, BOMs, and DDC panel designs while ensuring code compliance and fit-for-purpose integration with vendors.

You will collaborate with a fast-paced team, review plans, and support startup documentation and commissioning. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Two+ years engineering or systems design experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of building automation and design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design complete building automation systems including mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, BOMs, sequences of operations, valve and damper schedules, and DDC panel layouts.
• Determine best mix of products and installation methods to deliver cost-effective, efficient project solutions.
• Prepare submittals, shop drawings, and schedules for handoff to Operations.
• Act as a technical resource for team members and customers throughout project development.
• Conduct on-site walkthroughs to refine project design.
• Review plans and codes to assess project requirements and risks.
• Generate DDC point databases and provide startup documentation for commissioning.
