Job summary

Smart Building Technologies, a Fidelity company, is seeking a Design Engineer in Owings Mills, MD to design building automation systems, create drawings, BOMs, and control sequences. You will collaborate with a fast-paced team to deliver cost-effective, high-performance solutions and support project development from design through commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in engineering or systems design, an Associate or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and proficiency

• 2–5 years engineering or systems design experience.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design complete building automation systems including mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, BOMs, sequences of operations, and DDC panel layouts.
• Determine best mix of products and installation methods for cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare submittals, shop drawings, and schedules for handoff to Operations.
• Act as a technical resource for team members and customers throughout project development.
• Conduct on-site walkthroughs to refine project design.
