Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Purpose

Responsible for assisting in the programming, start-up, and maintenance of Building Automation & Controls projects as assigned. Collaborate with other technicians during design, programming, start-up, and commissioning of control systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve various control system operational problems.
• Assist in the service of control systems that are under Bassett contract.
• Assist in the coordination, install and start-up of control systems as requested.
• Assist in programming, design, coordination, wiring and other installation work as assigned.
• Assist in controls maintenance on control contracts as time and schedule will allow.
• Attend controls classes and/or apprenticeship classes as required to increase knowledge of HVAC and controls.
• Support and maintain a safe and Lean working environment.
• Mechanical equipment start-up and checkout.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Carrier Controls KMC and/or Niagara programming experience preferred but not required.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to understand training and instructions on controls programming as furnished through controls department.
• Strong computer skills.
• Must be physicallyable to enter restricted areas (air handlers, ducts and confined spaces) for first hand observation or inspection (required safety training would be provided prior to this)
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
