Building Automation Controls Service Specialist

Join to apply for the Building Automation Controls Service Specialist role at Siemens.

Our Building Automation Controls Service Specialists perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of HVAC / Building Automation Systems in large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, service maintenance, emergency calls, and customer support, based on service agreements, projects, and on-call duties.

This role can be mid-level (2-5 years experience) or senior-level (5+ years experience) depending on related HVAC/building automation experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and coordinate with contractors
  • Follow safety protocols and complete required training
  • Develop customer relationships and identify service opportunities
  • Respond to service calls, perform repairs, and document services
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and provide system operation training
  • Identify system discrepancies and assist in upgrades and pricing
  • Perform system checkout, startup, and project turnover
  • Work overtime, on-call, and travel as needed
  • Mentor other specialists
Qualifications:

Basic:

  • 2+ years (mid-level) or 5+ years (senior-level) experience in HVAC controls/building automation
  • Experience with protocols like BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP
  • Ability to work in various physical environments and use tools and technology
  • Willingness to work on-call, overtime, and possess a valid driver's license

Preferred:

  • High school diploma
