Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Building Automation Controls Software Engineer to design and implement Direct Digital Control (DDC) projects and support BAS/HVAC systems. Responsibilities

• Engineering new Direct Digital Control (DDC) projects.
• Programming, monitoring, and installing BAS including HVAC and integrated systems.
• Updating and maintaining the graphical web interface for system monitoring and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC and controller issues; perform testing and commissioning.
• Compile as-built drawings, closeout documentation, and system records; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with customers and team to meet project deadlines.

Our client is seeking aBuilding Automation Controls Software Engineer.The ideal candidate will work independently under the guidance of the Operations and Engineering Manager, focusing on engineering new DDC projects and supporting various building automation systems (BAS), including HVAC systems. This role involves a range of tasks from system programming to troubleshooting and commissioning, all while ensuring high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Programming & Engineering
  • Engineering new Direct Digital Control (DDC) projects.
  • Programming, monitoring, and installing building automation systems (BAS), including HVAC and integrated systems.
  • Updating and maintaining the graphical web interface for system monitoring and diagnostics.
• Troubleshooting & Commissioning
  • Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC and computer/controller systems.
  • Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality and integration.
• Documentation & Compliance
  • Compile and maintain as-built drawings, closeout documentation, and system records.
  • Ensure systems comply with design specifications and regulatory standards.

  • Work independently and as part of a project team to meet project deadlines.

Position Qualifications:

• Required Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in programming, with five (5) years preferred.
  • Experience with building automation systems, including HVAC, is essential.
• Educational Requirements
  • A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology is a plus.
• Certifications & Skills
  • Tridium AX certification highly preferred.
  • Experience with temperature control systems (Alerton, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Trane, Schneider, Siemens) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with BACnet, DDC, Niagara AX, ALC, Siemens, or Metasys is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with AutoCAD and PDF software is a plus.
