Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC seeks a Low Voltage Control Engineer to design building automation systems, prepare plans and specifications, and support installation and commissioning. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 1–3 years of experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and a PE license.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 1–3 years of engineering experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience in preparation of contract drawings and specifications and field surveys.
Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems; hands-on experience with HVAC controls.
Licensed Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities

Create plans, schematics, equipment selections, load calculations, and system design and layout.
Design building automation systems for large/complex buildings.
Receive project specs and design associated systems for installation.
Develop sequence of operations and bill of materials; determine network layouts.
Support field installation and commissioning of BAS/energy management, security, and fire systems.
Prepare submittals and hand-offs to operations.
May participate in initial site walkthroughs for retrofit assessments.
Review designs for feasibility, accuracy, and compliance.
