Responsibilities

• Select hardware designs from standard design library for diagrams, BOMs, network layouts and schematics.
• Perform software programming using established standards.

• Select, order, and track materials; coordinate factory-mounting processes.
• Assist loading and commissioning of system and network controllers; validate functionality and troubleshoot.
• Gather field changes and create as-built drawings and software; prepare operation manuals.
• Keep stakeholders informed of job progress and issues.
• Assist in site-specific training for owner/operator.
• Complete paperwork such as timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
• Adhere to safety standards.

Job description

What You Will Do

Under direct supervision and using established standards, you are responsible for hardware designs and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet the intent of the project requirements. You will provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team and subcontractors, and respond to basic warranty calls.

How You Will Do It

• Select hardware designs from standard design library for flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.


• Perform software programming using established standards as a basis of design.


• Coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.


• Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects. Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule.


• Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.


• Gather field changes from the project team and create as-built drawings and software. Prepare proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation.


• Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.


• Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system.


• Complete paperwork including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.


• Adhere to safety standards. Have a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

Required

• University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hiring Hourly Range

$26-$37 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). This position includes a competitive benefits package.
