We are looking to employ multiple Building and Grounds Maintenance Lead Techs with knowledge of residential and commercial lawn and landscaping trades, cleaning procedures, and grounds maintenance. A Building and Grounds Lead Tech is expected to have excellent organizational and time management skills. You will demonstrate natural leadership and possess strong communication skills with an eye for detail.

To ensure success, a Building & Grounds Tech should have a solid understanding of grounds maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning. Top candidates will excel in lawn care procedures, have knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices, and be capable of managing a small team to complete daily tasks efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up all trash
• Mow and weed-eat properties
• Trim or replace bushes and trees to keep properties, driveways, etc., clear
• Blow off all hard surfaces
• Maintain parking lines
• Perform snow removal as needed, including salt spreading or scraping hard surfaces

• Handle Maintenance Work orders
• Observe and note potential issues needing attention through work orders
• Complete assigned minor repairs (e.g., clearing parking lot drains, dumpster cleaning & minor repairs, deck cleaning & painting, signage)
• Update Maintenance Supervisors or Building & Grounds manager on progress or issues

Building Envelope (preventive maintenance)

• Pressure wash siding, gutters, and hard surfaces
• Perform dirt work as needed

Lead Responsibilities:

• Must be licensed to drive a company vehicle to multiple sites
• Responsible for driving crew to sites
• Manage daily dueling of trucks and equipment
• Use a company credit card for fuel, and submit receipts daily
• Follow weekly schedule & route provided by B&G Manager
• Report daily issues to B&G Manager regarding manpower, supplies, equipment, etc.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED

Minimum of one (1) year experience in landscaping and lawn care, with proficiency in operating zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, blowers, etc.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

Skills And Abilities

• Reliable transportation & valid driver’s license
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to operate machinery such as zero-turn mowers, power washers, skid steers, etc.
• Ability to drive company vehicles and maintain them properly

Working Conditions

Employee may be exposed to rain, snow, extreme heat or cold. Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and operate machinery for extended periods.

Compensation and Benefits

$17 - $20/hr
