Genpak External Careers Site is seeking a Building & Grounds Maintenance worker in Tyler, TX. The role covers routine and extensive grounds and building maintenance across facilities.
You will operate power tools and heavy equipment, perform repairs, and assist with event setup while following safety procedures and maintaining tools and spaces to a safe standard.

performs routine and extensive grounds and building maintenance duties on all buildings and facilities.
This job does not usually exercise supervisory responsibilities, however may supervise part-time help.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of responsible experience in grounds keeping or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Should have knowledge of grounds keeping equipment and landscaping.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
