Bristol Warren Regional School District in Bristol, Rhode Island, invites applications for a Building Administrator Substitute for the 2026-2027 school year. The substitute will assist at a school during a principal’s absence, help maintain a positive learning environment, and coordinate with staff, families, and students.

Position type: Part-time. Annual posting with pay differential: $500/day for external certified candidates; current BWEA members receive their daily rate plus $250.

Qualifications

• Principal certification preferred.
• At least 5 years’ teaching experience.
• Knowledgeable of district policies and procedures related to student and staff safety and well-being.
• Flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Work with the school staff to maintain the daily operations of the school.
• Remain present at the school for the entire day to provide supervision from arrival to dismissal.
• Develop daily plans to address staffing coverage.
• Support teachers and substitutes.
• Supervise and/or monitor arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess.
• Serve as the point of contact to address questions or concerns from staff or families.
• Inform the District Administration immediately in the event of a disciplinary issue or emergency.
