Job summary

Aerotek in Cascade, IA is seeking dedicated General Production Workers to join our team. Depending on current needs, you will be placed in either the Steel Shop or the Wood Shop with roles including Catcher, Builder, and other positions, primarily focused on builders.

Responsibilities include assembling trusses, reading work orders, setting up jigs, and labeling completed items. You’ll read a tape measure to 1/16 inch and work with basic tools, sometimes coordinating with forklift operators.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• 6+ months of experience in labor, manufacturing, production, or construction.
• Achieve an 80% score on Basic Industrial Math and Basic Ruler Reading tests.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trusses, pre-cut, and label them based on work orders.
• Set up a jig and tack plates, reading a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Use tools such as a hammer and staple gun, and crawl to tack boards when needed.
• Stand completed trusses upright and coordinate with forklift operators.
• Collaborate with saw operators to stack cut wood and label for storage.
