Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. The role oversees Build-to-Suit projects and material handling expansions from planning through startup, with mentorship and collaboration across planning, design, procurement, IT, finance, and legal teams.

You will coordinate with developers, GC and engineering firms, manage schedules and budgets, enforce standards, and ensure successful hand-offs to field operations. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or construction project management.
• Experience in engineering project management or academic equivalent.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction documents and specs.
• Familiarity with CPM-related software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility or material handling projects from planning through startup.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, resources and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure scope and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and manage risk.
• Travel to job sites as needed to monitor progress and vendor work.
