St. Francis-Emory Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to launch and lead our new GI Hospitalist Program. This role focuses on shaping inpatient GI services within a growing health system while maintaining work-life balance.

Responsabilités

• Lead and launch the new GI Hospitalist Program with inpatient/outpatient focus.
• Perform consults and inpatient/endoscopy procedures with APP support.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to design workflows and best practices.
• Participate in resident education and clinical teaching if desired.

Position Highlights:

• 7 on/7 off schedule
• Practice coordinated by APP support and ambulatory-focused provider
• Focus exclusively on consults, procedures (inpatient and outpatient), and inpatient management
• Dedicated support allowing physicians to practice at the top of their license
• Comprehensive APP Support - our advanced practice providers assist with inpatient consults, follow-up care, care coordination, and discharge planning
• Robust Procedural Practice
• High-volume endoscopy program - 3000 active patient base
• ERCP opportunities available based on training and interest
• Strong referral base from hospitalists, intensivists, oncology, surgery, and emergency medicine
• Faculty appointment opportunities with the St. Francis Internal Medicine Residency Program and/or teach residents and participate in clinical education if desired
• Physician-Led Culture: direct access to hospital leadership; ability to help design workflows and establish best practices for a new service line; opportunity to influence program growth and future GI recruitment
