Job summary

Volition is looking for an energetic Build Team Lead to maintain and support our build and automated test infrastructure in Champaign, IL. You will review existing build architecture and drive a flexible, distributed solution that scales with development needs.

You will enable feature branches, reduce downtime from broken builds, and coordinate the Build Team while creating verification tools. You will work with the Submission Team to assemble, approve, ship, and archive submission packages.

Qualifications

• Experience leading build/infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and automated testing approaches.

Responsibilities

• Review and architect a flexible, distributed build infrastructure.
• Enhance build and test systems to support feature branches and ongoing development.
• Reduce developer downtime caused by broken builds.
• Coordinate the Build Team and manage branch integration processes.
• Create build verification and automated testing tools.
• Collaborate with Submission Team to assemble, approve, ship and archive submission packages.

Responsibilities:

• Review our existing build architecture, and enhance or architect a new solution to provide a flexible and distributed build infrastructure
• Enhance the resulting build and test infrastructure to:
• Better support feature branches and testing of systems under development
• Further reduce developer down time due to broken builds
• Coordinate efforts of other build team members
• Create additional build verification and automated testing tools
• Manage branch integration process
• Work with Submission Team to assemble, help approve, ship and archive submission packages

Experience with the following languages/tools are a plus:
