Job summary

Club Champion LLC is seeking a Build Shop Supervisor to lead a team of Master Builders and Build Shop Assistants in our Willowbrook, IL facility. The role ensures quality and cost outcomes across the full build process, from shaft and grip installation to final finishing and inspection alignment.

You will train staff, enforce standards, and partner with department leaders to sustain quality from build through ship.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years supervising employees in a production or hands-on build environment preferred.
• Hands-on golf club building/finishing experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and data tracking for KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across the full build process including assembly, swing weight adjustment, and finishing.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching.
• Hold team accountable to build standards and shop discipline.
• Investigate rework and rejected inspections and drive corrective action.
• Track KPIs (build accuracy, rework rate, waste) and report trends.
• Monitor materials usage to minimize waste and control costs.
• Maintain clean, safe, and efficient shop environment.
• Build or finish clubs hands-on as needed.

The Build Shop Supervisor leads, develops, and holds accountable a team of Master Builders and Build Shop Assistants within Club Champion's custom build shop, where clubs are built and finished from the ground up: shafts, grips, heads, and ferrules, to exact swing weight and alignment specifications. This role owns quality and cost outcomes across the full build process. The Supervisor sets standards for build accuracy, material usage, and shop discipline; investigates root causes behind rework and rejected inspections; drives corrective action through training and process improvement. Deep technical knowledge of club building supports this role, applied hands-on when needed to cover volume or demonstrate technique. Success in this role depends on leadership: enforcing consistent standards, developing the team, partnering with other department leaders to maintain quality from build through ship.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSLead daily operations across the full build process, including assembly, swing weight adjustment, gripping, and finishing: ferrule turning, lie/loft bending, and cleaning.Train new team members. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to Master Builders and Build Shop Assistants.Hold the team accountable to consistent build standards and shop discipline.Investigate root causes behind rework and rejected inspections. Drive corrective action through training and process discipline.Track KPIs, including build accuracy, rework/rejected-inspection rate, and material waste.
