Seasonal Build Crew – The Great Pumpkin Trail

Location: Wyoming, MN

Seasonal Contract Position: August through November (Potential for full time year round for right candidate)

Looking for a hands‑on, fast‑paced seasonal job this fall? The Great Pumpkin Trail is hiring seasonal crew members to assist with the full build, seasonal maintenance, and tear down of one of Minnesota’s largest immersive pumpkin trail experiences.

This position works directly under the Build Manager and plays a major role in bringing the attraction to life from the ground up. If you enjoy physical work, teamwork, creative environments, and being part of large‑scale productions, this could be a great fit.

Position Overview

Crew members will assist with the seasonal installation and removal of The Great Pumpkin Trail. Work includes setting up pumpkins, lighting displays, themed scenes, pathways, décor, signage, and large‑scale photo opportunities throughout the attraction.

The main build season begins in August and runs through late September. Tear down begins immediately after the season ends and typically lasts several weeks. Mid‑season production and maintenance hours may also be available depending on operational needs.

Pay: $15–$20/hour DOE

Responsibilities
  • Set up and tear down pumpkins, lighting elements, décor, props, and themed displays
  • Assist with installation of photo ops and scenic elements throughout the trail
  • Load, unload, move, and organize production materials and equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces throughout the production process
  • Work both independently and alongside a team to complete projects efficiently
  • Assist with general production support, repairs, maintenance, and seasonal operations as needed
  • Follow timelines, safety procedures, and direction from supervisors and department leads
  • Operate basic tools and equipment safely and responsibly
  • Help maintain the overall visual quality and guest experience standards of the attraction
Requirements
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and move heavy items regularly
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work physically for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation to/from Wyoming, MN
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to jump into different tasks as needed
  • Ability to follow directions and stay productive in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Experience with construction, landscaping, events, haunted attractions, theater production, or seasonal setups
  • Experience using basic hand tools, ladders, utility vehicles, or lifts
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt in a constantly evolving production environment
Schedule Expectations
  • Seasonal position beginning in August
  • Daytime, evening, and weekend shifts may be required depending on production deadlines
  • Additional hours may be available during the operational season for maintenance and production support
