Job summary

Relocity, Inc. is seeking a relocation consultant (1099 contractor) to deliver high-touch, client-facing relocation services to employees and their families as they transition to a new city.

You will act as a knowledgeable local resource, offering tailored guidance and hands-on support across core relocation aspects. This role blends remote work with in-person engagements in your local area, requiring strong local expertise, a consultative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple assignments

Qualifications

• Must have legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have at least 5 years of residency in Buffalo with extensive knowledge of the local rental market, education system, and local registration processes.
• Must own (not rent) a reliable, registered, and insured 4-door vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
• Must be flexible and available to work weekends.
• Friendly, outgoing personality, strong customer service orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Prior personal or professional relocation or moving assistance experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with relocating employees by understanding their needs and priorities.
• Provide guidance on neighborhoods, transportation, and local lifestyle considerations.
• Conduct housing and school research, including rental market insights and commute considerations.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support the client experience.
• Manage multiple client engagements independently and document updates for continuity.
