JCW Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Reserving Actuarial Analyst to join the Corporate Actuarial team. You will support reserve reviews using standard P&C methods to estimate unpaid liabilities and ensure data integrity for the Appointed Actuary.

The role emphasizes building documentation, improving reporting, and coordinating with reinsurance data calls year-round. A bachelor's in math/stat/actuarial science and 3+ years P&C actuarial experience are required, with progress toward ACAS/FCAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of P&C actuarial experience.
• Credit for 4 exams with continued progress toward ACAS/FCAS.
• Strong Excel skills required, SQL and PowerBI/Tableau experience a plus.
• ResQ or similar reserving software experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly and annual reserve reviews using standard P&C reserving techniques to estimate unpaid liabilities.
• Extract, validate, and maintain transactional data for internal teams and the Appointed Actuary.
• Build out and improve documentation, processes, and reserve summary reporting.
• Lead the reinsurance data call and monitor reinsurance data year-round.
