Job summary

The United States Attorneys' Offices, Department of Justice, is seeking a GS-12 budget/financial specialist to develop, maintain, and administer financial data to control execution of short and long-range budgets. GS-12: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as experience developing, maintaining, and administering financial data to control execution of short and long-range budgets; monitoring obligations, appropriating funds, and validating expenses; utilizing an automated financial management information system to enter financial data, track funds, and develop financial and budget reports; preparing budget estimates and projections utilizing past obligations, fund levels, validity of request, and compliance with current policies and priorities; developing internal budget policies and procedures; and updating top level management officials on the status of financial operations and funding levels and providing technical guidance, advice, and assistance on the planning and development of future and current budget requirements and status.
