Job summary

City of Rochester seeks an Administrative Analyst to provide support across finance, grants, and program operations. Reports to a higher level employee and performs related work as required, including preparing written and numerical reports.

The role may require advanced education per options A–D, with emphasis on budget analysis and compliance with laws and regulations; permanent competitive status is likely desired.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Equivalent PLUS
• A. Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field AND one (1) year experience in administrative analysis, budget analysis, grants application, or analysis of fiscal or monetary programs for a public or private institution, agency or department; OR
• B. Bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience as defined in A; OR
• C. Associate's degree and three (3) years experience as defined in A; OR
• D. Graduation from high school and four (4) years experience as defined in A.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes budget requests including capital expenditures;
• Conducts feasibility studies and makes subsequent recommendations;
• Reviews financial forms for accuracy and completeness;
• Evaluates grants to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations;
• Coordinates, implements, and administers various programs;
• Prepares a variety of written and numerical reports.
