Walworth County is seeking a meticulous accounting professional to support daily financial activities for Veterans Services, Health and Human Services, and Lakeland Healthcare Center. You will assist with general ledger entries, budgeting, and financial reporting under the guidance of senior accountants.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and timely reporting, with 0.75 FTE and negotiable hours between 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent four-year program with 0–6 months experience.
• Proven ability to apply mathematical and accounting concepts to practical situations.
• Strong organizational, communication and troubleshooting skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with daily entry of general ledger transactions to support county department financial functions.
• Prepare budget and financial analyses, financial forecasts, expense allocations and analyses of fiscal trends.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual fiscal reports/claims for federal and state funding.
• Assist with audits and annual financial reporting documentation.
• Reconcile and document balance sheet and income statement accounts for assigned departments.
