Civicworks in Maryland seeks a Budget Analyst to provide professional fiscal management for the Washington County Department of Social Services, overseeing $1.6M across Adult, Child and Family Services. The role handles budget analysis, accounting operations, financial reporting and internal controls essential to DHS Maryland's mission.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting with auditing coursework, plus at least two years of GAAP-experienced budgeting and auditing work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing.
Two years of experience examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting systems, records and reports using generally accepted accounting principles.
One year of experience preparing and/or overseeing a budget.
One year of specialized experience conducting internal or external financial audits.
One year experience preparing accounting and compliance reports.

Responsibilities

Manage budget analysis, accounting operations, financial reporting and internal controls.
Oversee $1.6M in funds across Adult, Child and Family Services to support the Department of Human Services' Maryland mission.
