Responsibilities

• Customer Service and Fiscal Management-Provides professional accounting management of fiscal operation for local DSS office consisting of monitoring, processing and tracking funds for all Adult, Child and Family Services to meet the goals and objectives of the Department of Human Services and Washington County.
• General Accounting/Reconciliations- Responsible for general accounting functions to ensure safeguarding of assets and accountability for funds, in accordance with GAAP and state & local procedures. This is done by reviewing and recommending implementation of procedures, which guarantee secure internal control.
• Ensures timely and accurate submission of fiscal and procurement reports, monthly & quarterly, as required by DHS, local, General Accounting Division and local DSS procedures. Creates detailed supplemental Excel spreadsheets.
