Job summary

State of South Carolina Greenwood position assists in development and control of the institution's budget, and handles orders, receiving and distributing supplies and equipment. It also manages fiscal activities including requisitions, purchase orders, inmate payroll, budget preparation, and expenditures.

Four weeks of SCDC Basic Training are required upon hire. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree may be substituted for related experience.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
• A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
• Prefer 2 years of accounting or accounting related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of and control of institution's budget.
• Responsible for order, receiving and distributing supplies and equipment.
• Responsible for fiscal activities to include requisitions, purchase orders, inmate payroll, budget preparation, and expenditures.
• Responsible for petty cash.
• Supervise the mailroom to include serving as backup.
• Ensure proper audits are conducted of monies in special funds, meal ticket and postage accounts.
• Responsible for maintenance and inmate telephones.
