I’m looking for the next Director of Budget to join our Finance & Business team at LaGuardia Community College.
Having led LaGuardia’s budget and financial planning department for the past ten years before moving into my current role, I know firsthand how important this position is to the College.
This is a key leadership role that will work closely with me and colleagues across the College on budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and resource decisions. The Director will lead our Budget Office and a team of five professionals while also playing an important role in strengthening our financial processes and supporting the College’s transition to Workday.
Beyond strong financial and analytical skills, I’m looking for someone who is collaborative, communicates well, and can work effectively with both financial and non-financial colleagues. Higher education or public-sector experience is a plus, but I’m also interested in candidates who bring strong transferable experience and a fresh perspective.
The position is based at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, Queens, with a salary range of $122,201–$155,388.
The position will remain open until filled, with application review beginning in mid-September.
