The salary range for this position is $116,956 to $199,734, with the anticipated starting salary for this hire at or less than $161,754.

The Office of the County Council is seeking a Budget and Policy Manager (Manager II). This position will work as part of the Council’s Central Staff team - which is the non-partisan, professional staff team responsible for ensuring that the Council meets its budgetary, legislative, land-use, public health, and oversight responsibilities.
This Budget and Policy Manager (Manager II) position will work closely with the Council’s Executive Director and the Deputy Director for Budget and Policy to identify, develop, and execute enterprise-wide initiatives that enable the Council’s Central staff team to effectively meet the Council’s current and future legislative needs. Seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in budget or fiscal management and organizational policymaking, three (3) years of which were in a supervisory or executive capacity. Note: the term "executive" is further defined as a management or high-level position involved in technical research, management advisory services, or policymaking. An "executive" is an individual who exerts considerable influence on organizational policy, plans, and operations through technical research, management advisory services, and/or policymaking duties and responsibilities.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
