Job summary

InstantServe LLC is seeking an experienced Budget Analyst / Budget Operations & Contract Monitoring Analyst to support budget operations, financial reporting, contract monitoring, and fund utilization activities.

The role requires handling journal vouchers, tracking fund utilization, reviewing budgets, and generating financial reports for program and finance teams. Strong communication and multi-project management skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of budget analysis, accounting, or financial reporting experience.
• 3+ years monitoring contract spend across multiple contracts.
• 3+ years tracking fund utilization across state and federal sources.
• Experience managing multiple priorities/projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project Suite, MS Teams, Zoom, spreadsheets, and financial systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process journal vouchers across state and federal funding sources.
• Monitor contract spend against authorized budgets and prepare utilization, variance, and projected-spend reports.
• Track fund utilization across state and federal funding sources.
• Prepare and process budget revisions with appropriate documentation and audit trails.
• Support financial reconciliation and respond to budget/contract-related questions.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting recurring deadlines.
• Prepare clear financial reports and communicate findings to program and finance teams.
