The State of West Virginia is seeking a Budget Analyst 2 to join the finance team in Charleston. The role involves preparing and coordinating statewide budgets for a large state agency, with a focus on expenditure schedules, budget narratives, and executive reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least two years of budget-related experience, plus strong skills in spreadsheet modeling, accounting principles, and knowledge of state fiscal policies.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, statistics, economics, finance, public policy analysis or related area.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in budget preparation, financial allocation or financial analysis.
• Experience substitutions allowed: 1 year experience for every 30 semester hours of required training.

• Budget Preparation: assist in preparation and review of Expenditure Schedules, Appropriation Requests, Budget Narratives, and executive reports for multiple departments.
