Job summary

Henry County Government in Georgia seeks an entry-level Budget Analyst to help develop and maintain the annual county budget and administer the salary and benefits section.

You will support budget development, monitor compliance, process budget transactions, and assist with agenda items and reporting.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance and at least one year of related experience; strong Excel and communication skills are favored.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related accounting or budgeting experience.
• Ability to work evenings occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, recommendation, and publication of County’s budget process; reviews existing plans; analyzes revenue/expense trends.
• Monitors budgetary compliance; conducts monthly reviews; reports deviations and suggests solutions.
• Administers salary and benefits section of the County budget; maintains personnel data, tracks positions and compliance.
• Processes budget transactions: requisitions, check requests, transfers, and related items; balances projects/accounts.
• Prepares and presents funding statements and agenda items for Board actions; compiles department data and reports.
