The State of Georgia, Department of Community Health, is seeking a Budget Analyst Supervisor in Atlanta. The role leads fiscal analysis, develops budgets, and provides strategic budget guidance for Healthcare Facility Regulation and related offices.

Primary duties include preparing annual operating budgets, loading them into GA@Work, and using GA@Work Adaptive Planning. You will monitor spending trends, project quarterly needs, and back up other offices as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in accounting, business/public administration, or finance from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience, with one year in a lead/supervisory role; or two years at Budget Analyst 3 level.

• Develops, analyzes, and revises large or complex budgets and schedules.
• Prepare annual operating budget and load budgets into GA@Work.

• Monitor Budget Comparison Reports (BCRs) and adjust journal vouchers as needed.

Oversees, develops, prepares, analyzes and/or revises large or complex budgets and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or program areas. Performs review and analysis of budget program and policy issues, analyzes financial trends or proposed legislation and recommends appropriate courses of action to management. This position will have the lead responsibility for one or more assigned offices for Healthcare Facility Regulation, State Office of Rural Health and budget contracts.This position serves as back up for other offices/program budgets in the Department of Community Health. Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing Annual Operating Budget, loading budgets into GA@Work, and GA@Work Adaptive Planning. Prepare quarterly projections, meeting monthly with program managers to discuss budgetary needs and budget re-alignments based on spending trends. This position will be required to monitor the program Budget Comparison Reports (BCR’s).
