Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Budget Analyst to oversee budgeting for industry-sponsored clinical trials. You will negotiate budgets with sponsors, advise investigators on costs, and help allocate resources efficiently.

You will track income and accrual across trials, invoice sponsors, and renegotiate budgets as protocols change, while ensuring PHI security and compliance with UH policies.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates budgets with sponsors and advises investigators and CTU management on trial costs.
• Negotiates discounts for technical and professional fees with Center for Clinical Research and professional groups.
• Tracks income and accrual for over 75 clinical trials yearly to ensure adherence to negotiated amounts and time frames.
• Invoices sponsors based on negotiated milestones.
• Renegotiates budgets in response to protocol changes.
• Works with Center for Clinical Research to track and prioritize clinical trial agreements.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains PHI compliance.

A Brief Overview

Develops budgets for over 30 industry sponsored clinical trials a year based on an analysis of one time and per patient personnel, procedure and supply costs.

What You Will Do

• Negotiates budgets with sponsors and advises investigators and CTU management on costs of trials so that resources can be appropriately allocated.
• Negotiates appropriate discounts for technical and professional fees with Center for Clinical Research and professional groups.
• Tracks income and accrual for over 75 clinical trials a year to ensure that negotiated amounts and time frames are adhered to.
• Invoices sponsors based on negotiated milestones.
• Renegotiates budgets based on changes to protocol.
• Works with Center for Clinical Research to track and prioritize clinical trial agreements.
