National Park Service in Washington, DC is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the full range of substantive budget work, including formulation, execution, and advising managers on budget programs.
The role involves directing the preparation of fund allocation charts and providing technical assistance to program managers, with interpretation of federal guidance to ensure compliant allotment and apportionment processes. Telework eligibility is noted.
You will serve as a Budget Analyst with National Park Service where you will be responsible for the full range of substantive budget work.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Serves as a consultant and advisor in all phases of budget and related financial management matters. Provides leadership to managers of budget programs in budget formulation and execution.
Directs the preparation of fund allocation charts, tables, and summaries, together with detailed instructions as to authorizations, limitations, and guidelines relating to the use of funds to expeditiously accomplish allotment advice actions. Coordinates budgetary practices and procedures to ensure a high standard of financial management.
Studies and reviews budgeting practices and procedures of individual units at all levels and recommends revisions or modifications as necessary for improvement. Provides technical assistance and training to program managers for attaining maximum accomplishments within the framework of funds available.
Interprets Departmental, NPS Washington Office, Office of Management and Budget (0MB), and General Accounting Office instructions for application to NPS allotment and apportionment systems and procedures. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.

Foreign Education: To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, you must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.

The posted pay range is $85447 – $133142/yr.
