Job summary

Calance is seeking a Budget Analyst/Administrator to manage unit budgets, perform reconciliations and produce forecasts. The role also covers onboarding/offboarding, personnel records, and procurement in a hybrid setup requiring onsite presence in Marysville, OH four days weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of budgeting, financial analysis, FP&A or cost accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field (or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets).
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to leadership.
• Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Onsite work 4 days a week in Marysville, OH area.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and finance (about 70%): monthly reconciliation, expense alignment, budget-to-actual variance analysis.
• Build monthly/quarterly/annual reports with forecasts, drivers, risks and recommendations.
• Prepare journal entries and cost-center reclassifications.
• Track funding requests for AI and transformation projects from submission through spend reconciliation.
• Support annual budget and quarterly forecasts; collaborate with cost-center owners.
• Present clear financial insights to leadership.
• Administration (about 30%): onboarding/offboarding for employees/contractors/vendors, system access, equipment.
• Maintain headcount/workforce records in SuccessFactors and Fieldglass; reconcile systems.
• Create and track purchase requisitions in Ariba.
• Write and maintain SOPs, checklists and trackers; improve processes to speed cycles.

JOB DETAILS:

Position: Budget Analyst / Budget Administrator

Duration: 6+ Months (Contract)

Pay Rate: OPEN, based on experience level (W2 ONLY)

HYBRID: MUST work ONSITE 4 days per week (We are only accepting LOCAL candidates for this role)

HOURS: MON-FRI

Responsibilities include

Budget and finance (primary, about 70%):

• Manage the business unit budget: monthly reconciliation, expense alignment and allocation, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Build monthly, quarterly and annual headcount and expense reports with forecasts, key drivers, risks and recommendations
• Prepare journal entries and cost-center reclassifications
• Prepare and track funding requests for AI and transformation projects from submission through approval and spend reconciliation
• Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasts; partner with cost-center owners on assumptions, scenarios and risks
• Present clear financial insights to leadership

Administration (secondary, about 30%; training provided):

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for employees, contractors and vendor resources (approvals, system access, equipment, exit steps)
• Maintain headcount and workforce records in SuccessFactors and Fieldglass and reconcile between systems
• Create and track purchase requisitions in Ariba
• Write and maintain procedures (SOPs), checklists and trackers; find ways to cut rework and speed up cycle times

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience in Budgeting, Financial Analysis, FP&A or Cost Accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles: reconciliations, accruals, journal entries
• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, look-ups, large data sets
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to leadership
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage several deadlines
• Able to work onsite 4 days a week in the Marysville, OH area

Nice to have

• SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass and/or SuccessFactors
• Experience in a large enterprise, manufacturing or automotive company
• Experience writing procedures or improving finance processes
