Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Budget Analyst to perform budgetary, management, and financial analysis within a policy-oriented budget department. You will examine budget estimates, conduct economic and financial analyses, and support automated budget systems for departmental staff.

The role emphasizes expenditure controls and the application of budget and accounting methods, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and monitoring department budgets or related government budgeting work.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS software packages.

• At least two years of experience implementing and monitoring department budgets, performing local government budget analysis, working in accounting, or working in a related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS software packages.
• A positive and professional approach to working with others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting and budget system applications.
