Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) is seeking a Budget Analyst in the Administrative Division. The successful candidate will plan, implement, and administer the full spectrum of budget and financial management services. Location: Knoxville, TN.

The role may involve CTAP considerations for eligible candidates. Eligibility at GS-9 requires either specialized federal experience, graduate education in a related field, or a combination of education and experience as described above.

Qualifications

  • One full year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7 level in federal service.
  • Graduate education in a related field leading to a master's or equivalent as described above.
  • Combinations of graduate education and experience may be used if graduate education exceeds 1 full year.

  • Plan, implement, and administer the full spectrum of budget and financial management services.
  • Perform budget execution, formulation, financial reporting, and internal control functions.
  • Review budget and program data for accuracy; monitor obligations and expenditures.

Education

Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field (Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration, Public Administration)
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

Job description

The successful candidate will serve as a Budget Analyst in the Administrative Division. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the full spectrum of budget and financial management services. As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement.

GS-9:

To be eligible at the GS-9 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below:

  • Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing budget or financial management work which demonstrates knowledge of budget and finance principles, practices and methods to perform budget execution, formulation, financial reporting, and internal control functions. Examples of specialized experience include gathering statistical data needed for financial reporting, reviewing the accuracy of budget and program data, monitoring obligations and expenditures, and compiling budget requests.
  • Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration, Public Administration): a Master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B.); OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
  • Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.
