Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Florida is seeking a Bucket Operator to assist with the clearing and removal of trees along power lines and rights-of-way. You will operate an aerial lift (bucket truck) to reach branches near energized lines and coordinate with property owners.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires at least 18 years old, familiarity with electrical hazards, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazard.
• Possesses working knowledge and can identify tree and shrub species.
• Work demands physical energy, twisting, some lifting ability, and hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permission from property owners to trim or remove trees or perform other work on property.
• Arranges access with customers and explains work to be done.
• Maintains good customer relations and ensures safe, efficient crew performance.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, and markers to protect people and property.
• Operates and services equipment (gasoline tools, hydraulic tools, power saws, bucket trucks, etc.).
• Operates bucket near energized lines to remove branches and material.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue and debris cleanup.
