Job summary

Ptc Alliance is seeking a Buck On Operator in Liberty, TX to control changeovers and setup of the coupling makeup machine, perform power tightening and measurements, and monitor the drift machine. You will verify that makeup meets 5CT requirements and conduct inspections of equipment and products.

The role requires basic math, strong reading comprehension, and the ability to work with others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and basic reports.
Basic arithmetic, rates, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

Maintain the speed of the drifting machine.
Ensure that the machine is working properly to process pipes.
Confirm that pipe dope is sufficiently supplied and all surfaces of the thread are in proper order to operate the machine.
Coordinate with inspector, CNC operator, and other machine operators to ensure production runs smoothly.
Report to shift supervisor any items that need to be repaired, replaced, or purchased.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Be mechanically inclined.
Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Prioritize safety.
Carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this position to support department objectives and develop one’s skills.
Other duties as assigned.
