Ptc Alliance is seeking a Buck On Operator in Liberty, TX to control changeovers and setup of the coupling makeup machine, perform power tightening and measurements, and monitor the drift machine. You will verify that makeup meets 5CT requirements and conduct inspections of equipment and products.
The role requires basic math, strong reading comprehension, and the ability to work with others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Buck On Operator’s primary job duty is to meet work order requirements by being in control of the changeover and set up of the coupling makeup machine. This position is also responsible for power tightening couplings on a production line, and verifying that makeup meets customer and/or 5CT requirements. The Buck On Operator also operates and monitors the automatic full-length drift machine, and performs measurements with calipers and micrometers. This role also performs visual inspections of equipment and products.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information to customers, clients, and employees in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs. Application of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills: Computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word and Excel; able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.
