Business Tax Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Tax Services Manager to lead tax planning and compliance engagements for closely held businesses. This role involves advising clients on complex tax matters, overseeing multiple engagements, and mentoring teams in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Manage tax planning and compliance for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and individuals
• Analyze tax impacts of transactions and conduct technical tax research
• Review tax returns, manage workflow, and oversee billing/WIP
• Serve as a primary client contact and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
• Coordinate and mentor engagement teams, supporting staff development and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or JD preferred
• 5+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong technical knowledge of partnership and corporate taxation
• Experience with tax research and client advisory work
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax compliance software (e.g., CCH Axcess or similar)
