Job summary

Taylor Morrison in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Build-To-Rent (BTR) Division Area Construction Manager to lead a team across multiple vertical construction projects, driving schedules, quality, safety and cost control.

You will mentor staff, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with land development and property management to deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget. Strong leadership and communication are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of construction experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of new home construction processes, scheduling and cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specs and schedules.
  • OSHA knowledge and compliance.
  • Proficient in Build Pro and strong computer skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Customer service oriented with ability to meet deadlines.

About You

  • At a minimum: High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of Construction experience (preferably with a production builder or multi-family developer) and have successfully completed the assigned TM360 Learning curriculum if applicable. Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field preferred
  • Proven knowledge of new home construction process, scheduling and cost control procedures
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules, with knowledge of all phases of new homes construction
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA rules & regulations
  • Proficient in all Build Pro as well as have savvy computer skills
  • Strong in communication skills both oral and written as well as strong in organization skills
  • Customer service oriented and believe customer is number one priority
  • Understand the need to be flexible and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
