Job summary

Bruckner Truck Sales in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Tier 1 Fabrication Technician with at least 3 years of MIG and Stick welding experience and strong fabrication/ design abilities. You will perform advanced repairs and builds, demonstrate a CAN DO attitude, and uphold safety across all tasks.

Ideal candidates will have advanced knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, wiring, and welding, with the ability to lead Tier 2 and 3 technicians.

Job Location: BTE Phoenix - Phonix, AZ 85009

JOB SUMMARY

The technicians in Tier 1 will have mastered the skills trained in the Tier 3 and Tier 2 job specifications. In addition, a Tier 1 Fabrication Technician should have 3 years' experience in MIG and Stick welding and have proven fabrication/ design abilities along with good torch skills. Attendance, Attitude, and the ability to perform timely repairs with minimal to no supervision is a must for Tier 1 advancement.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO THOSE STATED IN THE TIER 2 & TIER 3 DESCRIPTIONS

• Has shown the ability to use all tools of the trade safely, efficiently, and effectively with minimal to no supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, PTO's, wiring, welding, and design.
• Can complete advanced jobs/ builds with minimal to no supervision.
• Displays a "CAN DO" attitude and is a good steward to customers, company tools, and resources.

EXAMPLES OF SKILLS NEEDED TO MASTER THIS LEVEL

• Performs timely repairs, minimum 90% efficiency and 80% Proficiency.
• Performs quality repairs should have minimal rework based on value, frequency, and managerial discretion.
• Ability to lead & train Tier "2" & "3" Technicians.
• Can diagnose and repair lighting and electrical systems.
• Can diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and winches.

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS

• Complete all Tier 2 & 3 Job Role Requirements.
• Must complete a Minimum of 5 items listed below.
• Active in the Safety Committee
• Pusher/ Tag axle install.
• Complete winch truck build start to finish.
• Dump body install.
• Hydraulic system installs including design and plumbing.
• Fenders of any kind and various styles.
• Vacuum pump rebuilds.

Qualifications Physical Demands

Involves essential ability to maneuver around, in, on and under trucks in order to properly inspect and diagnose all types of problems and repairs.

Must be able to pass a physical and drug and alcohol screens during pre-employment screening, randomly and/or as requested throughout employment.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder.
